Captain Hayden House
This classic Nantucket home is completely renovated with all conveniences - including air conditioned bedrooms, wireless internet, 3 cable TV's (one HD flat screen) It is much larger than it looks! Only a short walk to Main Street and a short drive to many of the island's beaches, this house has a large private brick patio with lounge chairs, teak furniture and table to seat 10. The rose arbor, perennial plantings and window boxes create a lovely garden space. There is also an enclosed outdoor shower on the side of the house. The interior has restored pine floors, five fireplaces, 2 full and 2 half baths, living room and den (both with TV), large kitchen and separate country dining room. Master bedroom has ensuite bath, while two other bedrooms share a bath with a double vanity. The fourth bedroom has a sitting area and private half bath .Interior staircases in the front and back of the house (the old fashioned way!) make it very charming. It has comfortable Nantucket-style furnishings, quilts and nautical art. The outdoor brick patio is lovely for entertaining with gardens on all sides.
Location: Children's beach is only a 1/2 mile and Jetties is 3/4 mile. This is a Sunday through Sunday rental. Long weekends in off season.
